It is being reported that Mitch McConnell suffered a fall during a dinner last night that was serious enough to warrant a hospital visit. Dining at the esteemed Waldorf Astoria hotel in DC, McConnell was then admitted to a local hospital. This was not the first time he has suffered a serious injury from falling, but his current condition is unknown.
McConnell has received heavy criticism from both the left and right in recent years. The left despises him for being a republican in general, and the right takes issue with his many anti-Trump stances. While it is true that his misallocation of resources and funds is what led to the democrats winning the midterms, there are very few, if any, right-wingers praying for his death.
The left, on the other hand, is willing to win by any means necessary. It is not even debatable that they want us literally dead, as they are open about it. Normal people are able to get thousands of likes and agreements just wishing for the worst, as seen here.

McConnell’s accident happened just one day after he received pushback for criticizing Tucker Carlson’s recent segment depicting the truth of what happened during the January 6th protest. This segment exonerates the infamous Q-anon Shaman, providing video evidence he was escorted through the building rather than breaking in. Jacob Chansley was sentenced to forty-one months in prison for his behavior that day, a clear abuse of power from the judicial system.
Elon Musk caught wind of McConnnell disavowing Tucker for making light of the vastly overblown incident and proceeded to take a jab at his loyalty issues. This of course happened before the fall, but that accident does not prevent us from holding him accountable for his poor actions.

When known moderate Elon Musk claims you are not partisan enough, you can be sure you are doing something wrong. The people elected Mitch McConnell to support republican policies, social views, and cultural battles. Giving up ground on even slightly controversial issues is not conductive to our cause.
Many people are calling for McConnell to resign due to his age, values, and health issues, and it is hard to disagree. Our leaders in Congress must represent the future of our party rather than the interests of the old guard. The great state of Kentucky can do a lot better, but it is very unlikely that McConnell will give up his decades-long grasp on power. Regardless, we are still wishing him a speedy recovery.
