At this point in time, it’s impossible to deny that woke Disney has enmeshed themselves in politics. They continue to dive deeper in the agenda, pushing their ideas onto young and impressionable children.
Why do they have such a reach?
I’ll be the first to admit, I love Disney movies. Their classic movies are just so magical, fun, and perfect for family viewing. However, their new movies leave much to be desired and one could argue that they’re simply no longer appropriate for young children to watch. That is, if you don’t want them being brainwashed into woke Disney’s politics.
When did now woke Disney become so woke?
It truly has been a slow progression. But since the 2010s it’s been getting worse and worse. These days they try to avoid showing straight romance, because heaven forbid that anymore movies promote straight romance.
While many people used to be upset by how Disney used to make girls want to be Disney princesses, the new alternative is to have girls be masculine or gender androgynous. A concerning movement to say the least.
Is it really so bad?
In my personal opinion? Yes, yes it is. While I still watch some current Disney releases and I do enjoy some of them. Finding one that isn’t unbearably woke is like digging for a needle in a haystack. The particularly upsetting part is just how bad the animated ones that are targeting young children are. Don’t even get me started on the woke Disney channel.
It truly is bad. Sure it’s not all 100% bad. But a large chunk of what they put out is just riddled with woke politics, and shouldn’t be shared with children. They make it look like it’s all relatively innocent, but it’s not. Constantly seeing such things will influence people, especially children who are just learning about the world, and forming their own minds.
It’s scary to be perfectly honest, that children are being so enmeshed in these types of things. It doesn’t get any better when they go to school and have the same rhetoric being shoved down their throats in school. The world’s a mess.
Always do your research
Make sure to always research things that you let your kids watch. Look into reviews about it, and parent ratings to get an idea of what ideas are in it and whether it would be good to show your child it.
