Almost two weeks after Republicans took over the House of Representatives, one committee is moving full steam ahead with an investigation into Biden’s border crisis.
During the week of February 6th, the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability announced that it will hold a hearing to examine the Biden Administration’s policies that have fueled the ongoing border crisis.

The following career government officials have been invited to testify at the hearing about how Border Patrol agents are administering the crisis and the impact it is having on their mission to secure the border, according to a press release by the Committee on Oversight and Accountability:
- Jason Owens, Chief Patrol Agent, U.S. Border Patrol
- Gregory Bovino, Chief Patrol Agent, U.S. Border Patrol
- Gloria Chavez, Chief Patrol Agent, U.S. Border Patrol
- Patricia McGurk-Daniel, Acting Chief Patrol Agent, U.S. Border Patrol
“President Biden’s radical open borders agenda has ignited the worst border crisis in American history. The Biden Administration’s deliberate actions are fueling human smuggling, stimulating drug cartel operations, enabling deadly drugs such as fentanyl to flow into American communities, and encouraging illegal immigrants to flout U.S. immigration laws,” Chairman James Comer said in a statement. “Republicans will hold the Biden Administration accountable for this ongoing humanitarian, national security, and public health crisis that has turned every town into a border town.”

A letter was also written by Chairman Comer to Alejandro Mayorkas, Secretary of Homeland Security, requesting documents, communications, and information about DHS’s role in “undermining” border security efforts.
Comer gave Mayorkas a deadline of February 2nd to hand over requested material.
“The American people and their elected representatives must know DHS’s role in the
humanitarian and national security crisis along the U.S. southern border,” Comer wrote to Mayorkas.
