Many people in America honestly believe white privilege is a thing, which is why the black community doesn’t feel valued. But let’s be honest; it is not a real thing. In the year 2020, the Democratic Party used white privilege in an attempt to win more votes for the election. Alongside the Black Lives Matter movement, liberals introduced the concept of white privilege to increase the division between races.
The more research I conducted on politics, I now understand the history of the Democratic party, and how they operate. First, the Democratic party practically thrives on division dependence on government, and control; they enjoy the mostly “peaceful” protest, and watching black businesses and neighborhoods burn to the ground. Americans have privilege you can not find in no other country in the world. If I am honest and share my thoughts, many folks will not like what they hear. White privilege is one of the biggest lies told to people. As a Black American, I have more rights than most white Americans. Let me explain how and why. For one, when it comes to education and receiving scholarships, labeling myself as a Black African American helped me receive much more than I would if left unmarked or Caucasian.
I started applying for scholarships to pay for college education when I was only seventeen. I never really cared about my skin color because I never let it stop me from achieving my goals in life. So, I would select Caucasian in some instances because I am a mixed woman. It became a habit, not because I was ashamed of who I was. My goal was to earn money for school, not to care about my skin color. Over time, I noticed I had not received anything back, no matter how many scholarships I applied for. In 2020, I had a friend, a young black woman, who also applied for scholarships to pay for her schooling. I asked her how she was progressing. She responded, “Oh, I already earned $30,000 for school! Isn’t that exciting?” I was initially confused about why she received these scholarships while I did not.
I let it roll off my back for some time. I congratulated her on her success and moved on with my life. Then, one morning, while I was getting ready, I decided to pull out my phone and search for more scholarships to apply for. As I began pulling up the search engine, I noticed a news article at the bottom that blew my mind. The report informed its readers about scholarships for black people. I know it doesn’t sound like such a big deal, but in my mind, I was confused. Why had black people received their scholarships while everyone else didn’t? What made them so special? Sadly, this isn’t the only instance of black privilege in America.
The crime rates in black communities are so high. The worst part is how they blame white people for their deaths. As most know, black people make up 13% of the population, which is a pretty low number. Sadly, since so many people don’t enjoy education, liberals used their lack of knowledge as an advantage to trick them into believing the reason for “black oppression” is because of white people. That is, in fact, not true. Black people are killing each other. Instead, they choose to live back in the old time when slavery was a thing. So many times before, when I used to post my opinions on politics, I would read comments that stated something like, “They owe us for the slavery they caused,” “Them white folks are the reason we are dying,” “I can hurt the white folks for hurting us back in the day,” etc. All of which wasn’t entirely true. Instead of escaping the victim mentality, most of the black community enjoy living as if they are poor to society. According to The Hill: ‘White Privilege is the biggest white lie of all, it writes “But in the end, we must get away from poisonous group think because the ideology and actions of individuals matter more” (Armstrong). It all has got to stop. White privilege is not a thing. It was and is a way to keep the black community uneducated, oppressed, and in constant conflict with white counterparts to gain power. If we didn’t fight, then the government wouldn’t have as much power as it does.
